Sajou QuiltAlong with Lori

I joined Lori from Humble Quilts quilt-along and made this small quilt.  Lori's quilt was inspired by a visit to a Paris shop called Sajou.  So I used some French General fabrics I had purchased awhile back.  My little quilt is a bit different from Lori's directions.  My center fabric has a "point of view" so I had to adjust the final round.   I added in the pinkish triangles and an extra stripe border and then added Lori's triangle border to the edge.

Disco Quilt and Others

The quilt above is the Disco Quilt pattern from Jaybird Quilts.  I just completed this last week.  It is for my son Austin whose middle name is Joseph so I called this quilt Austin Joseph's Quilt of Many Colors.  Planning the layout of the blocks was the most challenging and the most rewarding part of this project.  He likes it so now I just need to quilt it.  It is a twin so I will be "Walking Foot" Quilting it.  I am watching Jacque Gering on Craftsy and getting lots of ideas!  Maybe too many, just need to pick one for this quilt.

The Spring "Bunny" Quilt is nearly completed.  This was quilted with my Walking Foot and I am adding some Big Stitch Quilting in the border between the lines of my machine quilting.  If I would quit starting new projects and didn't have to go to work I could probably get this done. :))

The tulips from my previous post made a sweet little wall quilt for Spring display.  Also walking foot quilted.
And finally the quilt below is next up to be quilted, also with my walking foot.  Notice the theme here of walking foot quilting; free motion quilting and I have not yet enjoyed each other's company. But perhaps some day, we will.  The Bookkeeper precise brain in me cannot seem to relax enough to just go with the FMQ flow. :))

And off  I go to work and hopefully to quilt later!

Spring Works in Progress

Spring has inspired thoughts of purple and yellow and bunnies, chicks, eggs, and flowers. This project is a Cheri Payne pattern called 'Tis Spring.  Still adding the details.

I plan to assemble these blocks with the greens.  The tulips were made a few years back and I recently rediscovered them and thought of a way to use them.

This Iris block is made with 1 inch pieces, 1/2 inch finished.  I plan to put some butterflies and bunnies with it.  I enjoyed the challenge of trying to make a block smaller.  The original pattern for this is from Country Threads, Garden Quilts pattern.

Midwinter "Blues" Quilt

For 2 Christmases, my French General Charm pack had been looking for the perfect project to belong to.  I found it when I saw the Midwinter Blues Quilt Along on the Humble Quilts blog.  The French General fabrics are reds but since I finished the Quilt on Valentine's Day the colors are very appropriate.
