A Crochet Project

A view of my backyard garden taken in May, 2010.

This is my most recent project - a Starling Handbag from www.futuregirl.com. I made it with Red Heart SuperSaver yarn because that yarn is firm! Next, I tackle lining it. It is sitting on the fabric I plan to use. In a former life, this fabric was my kitchen window valance.

Afghans & Flowers

My afghan in progress. I bought the varigated yarn at Wal-Mart in February as Valentine's Day approached thinking I could use it to make crocheted hearts. I didn't like the hearts and so I started this afghan without a real plan. Here it is developing in its own way.

This winter I dug my Amaryllis bulbs out of the ground and put them into a pot. It looks like the pot was a good decision because they bloomed beautifully.

How does this work?

I have been reading other blogs for awhile now and so have thought, "wow, this is fun, I should do that." Now I'm trying it and I don't know what I am doing! I just added the pictures thinking they would come in after the text, but instead they came in in front of the text. I like a challenge. Hopefully, I'll figure this all out before I get distracted by another project. :) By the way, those are goldfinches at my birdfeeder on an unusually cold day for Florida; it was in the 30s.
